PB POSSI Flies the Flag Underwater at Pemuteran for Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day
Persatuan Olahraga Selam Seluruh Indonesia (PB POSSI) — the national governing body for underwater sport and organiser of the 2026 CMAS World Championship Underwater Photography & Video — held an underwater flag ceremony in the waters of Pemuteran, North-West Bali, ahead of Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day. Divers raised the Merah Putih beneath the surface at the very reefs that will host the championship this October.

Pemuteran Prepares to Host the 2026 CMAS World Championship
Pemuteran, in North-West Bali, is preparing to welcome the 2026 CMAS World Championship Underwater Photography & Video — bringing together some of the world’s finest underwater photographers and filmmakers. Proudly hosted by Karang Divers as Local Organising Committee, in partnership with PB POSSI and CMAS, the championship will showcase the extraordinary marine biodiversity and conservation work of North-West Bali. Competitors from around the globe will capture the beauty of Pemuteran’s reefs — including the celebrated Biorock coral-restoration project — while competing across ten categories.
