Competition Dive Sites

Four primary competition zones plus three reserve sites (weather alternates) across Pemuteran Bay and the North-West Bali coast. Confirmed in the Indonesia-specific rules (v1.2).

Primary zones

The Four Competition Sites

Two shore-access sites in Pemuteran Bay and two boat sites further along the coast. Sites are allocated to teams by draw on the training day.

01 · Shore

Biorock

The Karang Lestari Biorock reef restoration in Pemuteran Bay — low-voltage mineral-accretion structures grown over two decades. Shore entry, sheltered, a landmark macro and wide-angle site. Distinct from the Agung Prana Reef restoration site.

02 · Shore

Agung Prana Reef

The Natglue reef restoration project led by marine scientist Kadek Fendi Wirawan, sitting in front of the Sea Esta by Ananda Villas beachfront. Nearly 1,700 coral fragments out-planted; more than four in five surviving. Agung Prana Reef →

03 · Boat

Napoleon Reef

Named for the resident Napoleon (Humphead) wrasse that patrol its slope. Napoleon Reef →

04 · Boat

Bio Wreck

A purpose-sunk artificial reef structure now colonised with coral and soft coral growth — a distinctive backdrop for wide-angle work. Bio Wreck →

Reserve

Three Weather Alternates

If conditions require it, competition dives switch to one of these three reserve sites. The final call sits with the LOC Championship Director in consultation with the boat captains and safety team.

R2

Deep Reef

Site allocation and specific dive orders on competition days are set at the technical meeting on 5 October.
